Many of you have expressed interest in the dolly that I made to move the body around in my garage.

Enough so that I've been getting quiet a few emails a week..   Now, it's got its own page.  Here is basically  what the body dolly is..

The Frame:

The frame is made up of four 4x4 posts. Each post is 17.5 inches high. You can make it higher if you'd want.  (I would go another 2 inches if I had to build it again.) The dolly doesn't go over the pan with a short throw shifter installed.. The post sit on 6" pneumatic wheels that swivel.  This makes for moving left to right, back and forth very easy. I got those real cheap from Ebay. It does sit a total 29 inches high..

The frame also is 6 feet wide, using 2x4s, and 5 feet long also using 2x4s.  I have also braced the corners with 2x4s on the 6 foot boards that pretty much hold the body up.  I screwed everything together. No nails.. as nails will work themselves out.

Rolling this thing around is very easy.  I DON'T think the body dolly is wide enough that if I were to have wheels and tires on the pan, it would roll over them.  I didn't have a bug handy with wheels on it to measure.. I think it needs to be wider if you want wheels and tires on it.
